Peter Swatton once ran three firms that sold cheap cherished number plates in the UK. Swatton took money for the license plates from his customers. Yet he never gave his customers their plates because he didn’t own them. After losing a court case, Swatton is now serving five years in prison for fraud. In March, a judge ordered Swatton to repay over 300,000 pounds. Swatton will sell his UK home to pay the costs.
