Authorities in Lagos have finally decided that enough is enough with regards to owners covering their number plates up or even not displaying their car number plates. It does not matter what the reasons are for non- displaying of number plates were, this is no longer acceptable and all vehicles must display the correct car registration numbers.

Cameras cut down on number plates thefts in Wales

Help could be t hand for those who have suffered from their car registration plates being stolen. It appears that the police forces in Wales are using special number identification cameras in their bid to reduce the number of car registration plates stolen on their patch. Figures show that up to press these tactics are proving successful.

Car registration numbers are nothing but the identification numbers which are registered by the transport department legally. These registration numbers are also called as number plates where these number plates are the only ones through which cars can be differentiated and found. Cars may be different in terms of brand, size, shape, color and price but these cars can be commonly and uniquely identified only with car registration numbers.

The car registration number plates can be simple as well as stylish but it must remain within the norms and limits of the local government and the traffic police departments. Cars may be manufactured with high and low prices but their number plates can contain numbers as per the allotments. Also there is another possible method of number selection where the fancy numbers are often like by younger generations and they like to have fancy numbers in their cars. For obtaining the fancy numbers, every car dealers or car owners must register separately and must pay in addition in order to get the new fancy numbers. Manufacturers of cars will provide slots on the cars and other automobiles where the number plates can be easily fixed and will stay forever.

Car number plates are designed by the service providers where the outlet at which the car is bought will intimate if the numbers are all arrived. Suppose if any car is lost and if the car does not possess number plates and other tracking techniques, then the car is considered to be lost forever and the police department will find difficult in finding the cars. Instead if the car number plates are available, even when some mishap happens, with the help of number plates one can identify whether the cars are stolen and where they are kept. Thus are the usage of car and its registration numbers.

Car dealers arrested: 7 stolen cars, parts seized

As a part of an exercise program in West, North and Central Trinidad on Tuesday, two cars dealers have been arrested. Seven stolen cars were found here as well. Several firewalls from the cars were cut out; audio systems, and car registration number plates were also part of this. The cars were taken to the West End Police Station, where they were also examined. Arrest warrants have been put out for the car dealers in question.

Drop in June car sales

The Malaysian automotive association wants to meet the concerned ministry regarding the amended Hire Purchase Act 1967. This amendment caused the number plate registration to drop by 50 percent. The demand for vehicles and visitors to the show room have increased. Due to this amendment longer time was required to process the documents between the banks, car dealers and customers. The amendment made a lot of complications in vehicle industry.

Yet more drivers are caught out

Police in Northants have restricted traffic to one particular street in the heart of the city and now have to regularly patrol the area because residences and frequent users of this road refuse to yield. Hundreds of letters will be sent out to vehicle owners whose registration numbers are being noted from their number plates when they are seen driving down this road. It has been limited to “buses, taxis, and people who need access to the street.” and several people will receive fines for their infraction.
