The 9th Annual Cape to Cape Rally, from Cape Wrath in the Scottish Highlands to Cape Cornwall on the southern coast of England, wraps up this weekend with the Truro Classic Car Challenge, the final leg of the 1,500 mile vintage car with vintage number plates tour. Drivers from all over Europe participate in the rally, which raises funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.

California’s attempts to get a spay/neuter custom license plate might be halted. While the plate, designed by actor and activist Pierce Brosnan, has support from the ASPCA, PETA, and other groups, it’s not certain whether or not the bill to get the license plates in place will be signed by the governor. One concern is the fact that 7500 must be preordered for the plates to go into production; at the time of writing, only 4500 have been preordered. It is still imperative that those who want the plates tell the governor as soon as they can.

The San Diego Padres are having a tough time at the number plates design lately. They rank first in the MLB for strikeouts. This year there have been few balls put in play mainly due to homeruns, walks, and strikeouts. This means that big homerun hitters will recieve less balls to hit and will be pitched more carefully too. This year the long ball will make all the difference.
