He says that while reading a book dealing with the suffering of children around the world dying of hunger, God spoke to him and told him to sell his cars. The auction for his seven cars, ten tractors, and a horse buggy takes place May 30.

Doing the right thing: Widower sells precious cars to feed starving children
3,000 people showed up for the sold out Concours d’Elegance at Greystone Mansion on Sunday with 150 different motorcycles and automobiles with various customised number plates on display. Rare cars such as a 1932 Alfa Romeo 8C 2300 Short Chassis Zagato Spyder and a 1939 Bugatti Type 57C Coupe were showcased. Portions of the proceeds will go to the non-profit Friends of Greystone that support the restoration process of Greystone Estate, a national historic landmark.
